José Luis Pérez Halcón and Francisco Santisteban, partners of the T-10 studio and authors of the largest artificial beach project in Europe, regret that in their hometown they trust less than outside it

About twenty architects, engineers and design experts make up the Sevillian studio T10, founded by Francisco Santisteban Serrano and José Luis Pérez Halcón nine years ago in Temprado Street, although they now occupy a floor of a historic building in San Pablo Street .

They are specialists in leisure architecture (restaurants, hotels, conference centers, theme parks, aquatic parks) and can boast of having survived the economic crisis, unlike other firms, thanks to a group of Andalusian professionals under the age of 40 who have combined design and technology in all their projects.

They are the authors, among others, of the design of Alovera Beach, in Madrid, “which will be the largest artificial beach in Europe,” say its two founding partners, “and we have another water park in the pipeline that will be a world emblem.

The one that put this Sevillian studio in the national and international orbit was precisely Agua Mágica , in Isla Mágica , and the water park in Marbella . Then came avant-garde design hotels on the Costa del Sol and housing blocks in Gibraltar, Mallorca and the Mediterranean coast, but they recognize with sadness that in Seville , their hometown, is where they have fewer projects. “The companies that come here to make hotels prefer architects from outside Seville , and we do not understand it because we do many hotels outside the city. Here we are valued less than outside. For a Sevillian architect, it costs more to be a prophet in his land”. they say.
